The McEachern Art Center, in collaboration with ACA Gallery in New York, presents Vaivén, featuring the work of Afro-Caribbean figurative artist Kandy Lopez. Fiction writer Sidik Fofana will read as part of the Third Thursday Reading Series. Fofana is a graduate of NYU’s MFA program and a 2003 Whiting Award-winner. Stories from the Tenants Downstairs, his debut short story collection composed of eight narratives about residents of a fictional building in Harlem, was published by Scribner in 2022 and won the Gotham Book Prize. Join us for Encountering Ableism: Discussion on Disability with disability justice expert Mary Grace DuPree. Rev. DuPree will speak with us on Thursday, February 20th from 6-7 PM in Stetson 251.
