
Third Thursday Reading Series: A Tribute to David Bottoms
The final Third Thursday Reading Series event of the season will feature a tribute to Mercer Alumnus David Bottoms (Class of 1971), who served as the Poet Laureate of Georgia from 2002 to 2012. The evening will begin with a reading by the winners of the David Bottoms Prize for Poetry, which will be awarded to the Mercer University undergraduate students whose poems best exemplify Bottoms’ belief that poetry is “a search for consequence.”

Join us on April 20 to volunteer at the Macon-Bibb Earth Day Festival! We will be assisting with welcoming visitors, providing directions for the event, and helping run the "Kids Zone" by assisting children with Earth-Day related activities.
