View EventChristmas Tree Lighting
This holiday tradition, hosted by the Student Government Association, annually draws hundreds of students as well as faculty, staff, and their families. The Mercer Singers lead the audience in carols, the University minister offers a Christmas meditation, and faculty/staff members entertain the audience with a traditional Christmas reading. The event concludes with the lighting of the Mercer Christmas tree and is followed by Winter Wonderland in Mercer Village.

MU Motion Moves classes take place every Thursday from 8-9:30 pm in the Fitness Center Meeting Room located inside of the UC Gym. A different style of dance is taught each week. Club members are notified of the style that will be taught through GroupMe. Founders’ Day is an annual event organized by the Student Government Association, during which notable alumni address the student body and share their experiences in life and at the University. In the mid-1990s, the Student Government Association revitalized Founders’ Day on the Macon campus, making it one of the most cherished traditions.
