Under the direction of Dr. Stanley Roberts, Arthur Lowndes Rich Director of Choral Conducting, graduate conductor Mrs. Kirstine Buchanan, and accompanied by Mrs. Anne Armstrong, the combined Women's Chamber Choir and Mercer Singers will present a thrilling concert celebrating spring. Conducted by Townsend School of Music's Director of Bands Dr. Brittan Braddock, Central High School Band conductor Kameron Agee, and accompanied by Mercer University organist Dr. Jack Mitchener, the Mercer University Wind Ensemble joins forces with Central High School to present an exciting evening of wind band music.  Featured on the program will be Omar Thomas' "Of Our New Day Begun."  The event is free and open to the public.

The award-winning Ehnes Quartet (James Ehnes, violin; Che-Yen Chen, viola; Edward Arron, cello; and Mercer's director of the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, Amy Schwartz Moretti, violin) closes the 22-23 Fabian Concert Series with a rousing finale featuring the music of Haydn, Bartok, and Mendelssohn for recognizable works that will send off the series with gusto and applause.

Conducted by Mr. Kelly Via, come celebrate the joy and beauty of spring with a collection of intriguing repertoire performed by the Mercer Flute Choir. The event is free and open to the public.

The Turquoise Quartet, silver medalists at the 2023 Saint Paul String Quartet Competition, will present a recital on Monday, May 8 at 7:00 pm in the McCorkle Music Building’s Neva Langley Fickling Hall. Díana Thompson-Brewer, soprano Christopher Cooley, piano Lyric coloratura soprano, Díana Thompson-Brewer returns to the Mercer University School of Music to perform at first sight, a song cycle that chronicles the life of a woman through the lens of what it means to love a black man in America. The song cycle will be paired with Robert Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben. Thompson-Brewer is joined by pianist Christopher Cooley, composer of at first sight.
