The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will break into chamber groups to present an eclectic and varied evening of music. Featured groups will include the Brass Quintet and Wind Quintet as well as other ensembles from within the band.

Join us for an exceptional evening of French chamber music, featuring the less-known string works and the exotic songs of Debussy performed by talented McDuffie Center Young Artists and mezzo-soprano Samantha Mishima Friedman. This concert promises a special atmosphere and a celebration of French musical heritage in the 20th century.

Organist Jack Mitchener performs celebratory works by Bach, Dupré, Eben, Guilmant, Hailstork, Laurin, Lebègue, and Mendelssohn on the stunning new Desautels organ. Handcrafted near Montréal over three years by François Desautels, the instrument features mechanical key action, 27 voices, 34 ranks, and 1,693 pipes in a solid cherry case. A protégé of Hellmuth Wolff and Karl Wilhelm, Desautels brings old-world artistry to this magnificent new organ, an instrument built to inspire.
