Teach Yourself How to Learn

Learn Dr. Saundra McGuire’s techniques for gaining 100% mastery in your STEM–and all other–courses! In Dr. McGuire’s own words (from her book, Teach Students How to Learn, 2015, p. xv), “Often, teaching students how to learn can be accomplished in one session, in as little as 50 minutes….They can be transformed, in one session, from memorizers and regurgitators to students who begin to think critically and take responsibility for their own learning.” In this workshop, we will play brain games and discuss key learning strategies that include previewing, Bloom’s taxonomy, and the study cycle.
