Join the Macon and Mercer community on Friday, September 11, 2026, for the 25th Year of Remembrance of 9/11, featuring a 9/11 Memorial at 8:45 a.m. at Public Safety Park in downtown Macon and Climbing to Remember: 25 Years Later from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at the UC Steps. The day honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and recognizes the courage, sacrifice, and service of the first responders who climbed the World Trade Center to save others.
